Stan Meisler '52 BA
Promoting His Book at The UN

Board member Stan Meisler, '52 BA, has just written a book, Kofi Annan: A Man of Peace in a World of War (published by John Wiley & Sons). (The book has just been issued s a paperback with the same cover and some updating.)

The book is a biography of the seventh Secretary-General of the UN. Though Stan is an admirer of Annan, the book looks dispassionately at all the controversies surrounding the UN official who was born and educated in Ghana before winning a scholarship to Macalester College in Minnesota.

A former foreign and diplomatic correspondent of The Los Angeles Times, Stan is also the author of United Nations: The First Fifty Years (published by Atlantic Monthly Press, which has just been reprinted.
